Description

TE Connectivity's Accounting Teams develop, implement and/or maintain one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. They also design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Position:

This position will report to the S2P Process Delivery Lead and lead S2P teams in the planning, management and delivery of in scope processes including Invoice Processing, Payment Processing, Vendor and Travel and expense. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage S2P teams. Ensure quality and efficiency of work produced. Hold regular meetings, coach and mentor team, recognize key employees.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert for S2P related topics
  • Support migration of S2P processes from countries throughout the Americas to San Jose, Costa Rica
  • Managing Cap Gemini, lead/participate ops calls, reviewing CG metrics and be point of escalations
  • Ensure proper processing of vendor payments. Maintain communication with vendors and banks.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and other statutory requirements of the local markets
  • Coordinate S2P month end close activities and AP reporting
  • Coordinate with local Process Delivery Lead, Finance Controllers/Directors to identify and address any unresolved issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain scorecards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to manage the performance of the department
  • Appropriately manage and escalate issues with service delivery
  • Perform regular performance evaluations of staff members
  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement and change initiatives within the S2P function, ensuring that improvements are incorporated in the work routine. Form strong collaborative relationship with Global Process Owners.
  • Ensure robust compliance environment with applicable policies, procedures and processes
  • Ensure fulfillment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level agreements (SLAs), continuously improving on performance benchmarks,
  • Proactively monitor and operate a robust SOX and internal control environment
  • Build strong relationship with key stakeholders
  • Coordinate team meetings and ensure constant communication within the team

Experience:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a financial shared service center supporting multiple countries / business units, people management experience
  • Diversified Industrial Products/Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Prior experience in managing S2P functions in a shared services environment
  • Deep understanding of end to end S2P processes and associated technology platforms
  • Ability to work in culturally diverse teams with many levels of personnel

Knowledge:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Strong accounting background
  • Excellent analytical skill. Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Well-developed management and leadership skills
